Player plot: Rain Festival

[INFORMATION]

A Mist Over The sky

Rain gathers on the edges of cloaks and raincoats; shimmers down from a pale and cold dusting of clouds and over the darkened stones of the station. Vivacious laughter echoes into the softly weeping sky, vivid yellows and red and oranges of little and tiny raincoats that dart between taller legs, children flocking to the water-fed grasses that springs back up after their trampling feet in some unnamed game. Tag, or hide and seek, with shrieks of delight when caught and balls and toys as bright as the smiles perched on their wet little faces.

The same laughter that rises and fall with the conversation sheltered by sprawling pagodas of wood and roof and columns, with open walls to see and hear the rain fall outside in a gentle lull. People and spiritfolks gamely chide each other, bursting into old greetings and older songs as they gather, at last, out of the coldness of the winter, to see friends and family left distant by the cold and snow.

Clusters gather up under one rooftop to share their work as they chatter; needlework and knitting and

Jami Station. Pagodas and gazebos and open-aired follies overwatching the carefully tended gardens, with springy grass that bounces back even when trampled by laughing children's feet. Warm radiators keep pockets of heat trapped underneath the tables, sheltered with a blanket (kotatsu style). Easy chatter fills the bundled places as people work with their hands.

Clusters of artisans chatter over quilts and needles, carefully lined knives are kept out of the reach of small hands as carpenters carve wooden trinkets. There is a sense of camaraderie as each chatter over their work, catching up after the long, cold months.

April showers bring May flowers

The rain makes a melody backdrop to the constant chattering, and rumbles of thunder quieten the groups, with warm smiles over their faces as they reply with a rumble of drums set nearby. Children are highly encouraged to participate.

But the thunder doesn't last, and small and idle hands are soon swept up to play, dancing in the rain in their small coats of vibrant colours, darting across the wet grounds in games of tags and hide and seek, with the promise of a warm cocoa and a bite to eat when they tire themselves out.

After the harsh winter, and welcoming the refreshing spring months, people from all over Folkmore have gathered to share the work they have toiled on over through the harsh winters. Yarnworks and multi-coloured quilts fill one pagoda with colours as bright as a rainbow. Another shares beautiful paintings on taut canvases, on on the pale grey of stones smoothed by the waters of the Lakes. Needle work and carved wooden toys and trinkets, smooth little tops made of carefully balanced acorns.
Rain Festival! Play in the rain, share crafts and small sales for things made over the winter
